YOUTH SAMAGAM: BE THE CHANGE THAT YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD

Youth Samagam was conducted on Nov. 24th, 2012 at SNMTracy Bhawan. The topic of the sangat was:

"Be the change that you wish to see in the world"

or

"Saari duniya sudhar jayegi, apna agar sudhar karen hum"

Main Stage sewa was performed by "Rev. Nickpreet Sandhu ji" and stage secretary sewa was done by "Rev. Vikki Kamboj ji".

Dear Saints say with one loving voice.. DHNJ.  I would like to start of from verse from the avtar bani.. Akla socha paunch na saken, mehre di behaadi the.. Meher karey j aap swami rank bethavey gaadhi teh. .. Dear saints I know that all of you know the meaning of this but for me it translate to how I am not worthy of sitting up here in front of you but with his satguru’s grace and all your blessing I have been given this opportunity to fulfill and I would like all your blessing to be able to fulfill this task.  I would like to apoloize ahead of time for all the mistakes that I will be making today and hope that you all will be able to forgive and bless me to learn from my mistakes so I can do better do next time.  Dear saints as I asked what the topic was for this sangat I was told that it was “improve thyself before improving others”.   Dear Saints I was thinking how easy it seems to say those few words and yet how hard it is to put them to in action in our daily lives.  Dear saints we live in a world where the second we step out of our house we are ready to judge everything and anything that comes our way.   We judge anyone who is different from us and we try so hard to make the world fit our criteria.

Saints there also is a poem by Saint Kabir g he says Burrra jo kojan me challa burra na miloy koi Ja man koja apna mojse burra na koi. Saints what that means when I went to look for evil. I found no evil. When I looked in my mind there is no one worse than me. Saints the moral is before u look for evil in others look in ur head first.  Dear saints we should be aware that we point a finger at someone else we are actually pointing 3 at ourselves. Dear saints we can teach or preach to others what they need to fix because we humans are better as teachers because it makes us feel like authority but the best way to life is to become a student and to learn from that.  Learn from others mistakes, your own mistakes.  Dear saints we are given 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen and learn twice as much as we speak
Also like that shak fareed had said`; Fareeda je thu akal latheif ha kalla lik na liek apne hi girivan sar nieva karke diek. Fareed g refers to the ones who r smart – if   you are smart don’t do bad things don’t judge look inside of urself and see whats inside of you.  Theore is also a story about a woman washing her clothes saints a women drying her clothes and the front door neighbor was watching tells her husband look at her she doesn’t know to was her clothes and saints her husband remains quiet and saints the next morning the women was drying her clothes again and the neighbor said the somebody tell her how to was her clothes and this happened for a couple of days and then 1 morning she came and said finally someone taught her how to wash her clothes and the husband says no I cleaned the windows. Saints it turned it was a problem in her vision. Saints the moral of this story is fix ur self before fixing others.  Dear saints the worlds will be in the colors that we see and we should make sure that our hearts are clean then will we be only able to love and see others clearly
This takes me to my next point Thenuu saad nal kee thenu chor nal kee thu apni sambal thenu horn nal ke
Dear saints this is just a simplier way of saying let others do what they want and we should worry about our own actions.  Dear saints baba ji has a given us an example of how when a driver is driving a car he or she is most likely to get in a car accident when they are observing what other drivers are doing.  If we drive our car and pay attention to our road in front of us instead of others driving skill we should not have any trouble reaching our own destination.  But we keep on looking in other people’s lane and judge their driving skills then we lose focus on our road. Dear saints we are not here to fix others but ourselves; let others live the life that they desire and we should live the life we want.   Dear saints at the end we are not going to be asked about others peoples action.

EMS SANGAT - BE THE CHANGE THAT YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD

EMS Sangat for the month of Dec, 2012 was conducted at SNMTracy Bhawan on Dec 9th. Topic of the sangat was:

"Be the change that you wish to see in the world"

or

"Saari duniya sudhar jayegi, apna agar sudhar karen hum"

His Holiness spoke on the same topic in India:

"The poetic symposium at the 65th samagam based on the thought "Saari duniya sudhar jayegi, apna agar sudhar karen hum"..also endorsed the fact that we first need to improve ourselves if we want to improve the world. The saints also said "Bolan de naksheyan te, amlan da rang bhar de". That O Lord, bless us that our actions are a manifestation of our noble words. It is said "baney baton se agar baat, to phir baat hi kya hai". Words can be spoken by all, but what makes the difference is the acts of love, humility, generosity and charity.

Like the virtuous acts, our moral weakness also can't be kept in disguise. Both of them become obvious. A man remains away from God in the state of  'Ash' (Revelry) and ' Taish'(Aggression). The god does not need an eyewitness to make judgements. Nothing can be concealed from Him"

Rev. Dr. Rai ji explained in his vichar on following link. There are three clips. He explained that how to achieve the change by removing your blind spots, by following the true religion and reach your final destiny.
